What are the studio's hours?
If you ever need to meet with us in person, please contact us through Facebook, e-mail (email@example.com), or phone (217-258-8278) and set up an appointment!
How long does it take to get a response to messages?
Facebook is the quickest way to hear from us! We try to respond to everyone as quickly as possible. Some days are busier than others but we will do our best to get back to you ASAP!
Do you have gift certificates?
Yes we do!
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.

How do I set up a private event?
The first step is to submit a Private Event Request Form, which can be found under the "Contact" tab on our website.
Pricing for Children's Parties
$200 - 8x10 canvas OR 10x10 canvas ($20 per additional child*)
What kinds of projects can we do for Private Parties?
Canvas Events, Door Hanger Events, String Art Events, Wreath-Making, Board & Brush Events and Ceramics Events are our most popular options!
What should I bring for the birthday party I'm hosting?
As the birthday party host, you will be responsible for bringing all birthday-related items such as cake, beverages, candles, lighter, plates, napkins, forks, cups, etc. You are welcome to bring decorations, but we ask that all hanging decorations are able to be held with tape, which we will provide.
Are private lessons available?
Yes. Please contact us for more information.
What are your cancellation and refund policies?
- Must provide written notice no later than 2 weeks prior to your event. After this date, the host will be held responsible for paying any difference to ensure the minimum is met.
Please contact us at least 7 days in advance if rescheduling is needed.
Cancellations due to inclement weather will result in full refund of all monies in the form of store credit on individual accounts.
Can I bring wine/beer/etc?
The event host may permit BYOA, but he/she is the responsible party.
Why is there a 10-person minimum*?
The 10-person minimum requirement for our private events is in place to ensure that each event covers the cost of materials and instruction so we can keep offering them!
Classes & Workshops
Can I bring food and beverages to events?
Yes! Painting can be thirsty work! We encourage guests to bring their own snacks and beverages.
Public Events are listed on our website under STUDIO EVENTS and on our Facebook page as well! We offer a variety of events including POTTERY WHEEL, PAINT & SIP, CANVAS PAINTING, PALETTE KNIFE PAINTING, CERAMICS, DOOR HANGERS, BOARD & BRUSH, GLOW EVENTS and more!
Can I reserve a seat and pay at the event?
Generally, we prefer to have guests register and pay ahead of time.
What are your cancellation and refund policies?
- If you cancel within 24 hours of registering, a full refund will be issued in the same form as the payment
If you cancel later than 24 hours of registering but more than 48 hours prior to the event, a full refund will be issued as Store Credit to your account for Canvas parties, wood parties are not eligible for refund but your project will be made available for PICK UP on request.
Inclement Weather: In the case of a cancellation or postponement due to inclement weather, we will post cancellation updates via Facebook and we will make a reasonable attempt to notify customers via e-mail and/or phone. Refunds will be issued in the form of Store Credit.
The event I wanted to attend is sold out - what do I do?
Unfortunately, our studio can only hold so many people so we have to put a limit on available seats. However, even if an event is sold out, there are still a couple options.
All classes will be at our studio location: Artsy Chic Studio 1520 Broadway Ave. Mattoon, Illinois
Do you teach Pottery Wheel?
Yes! We have 4 Pottery Wheels at the studio and do classes monthly for individuals and couples that wish to learn the pottery wheel! We also offer private lessons for those wishing to take a more in depth journey into pottery and experienced Potters can rent wheel time during Open Paint times.
Do you have a Kiln?
Yes! We have a kiln which we use for our Pottery Wheel projects and our Paint Your Own Pottery classes and events that use GLAZE for a food safe, shiney finish!
Do you have Ready to Paint Ceramics?
Yes! We have a stock of ready to paint ceramics including figurines, seasonal decor, dishes, frames and decorations! They are available during our Open Paint sessions or for private parties! We also special order seasonal stock for Ceramic parties, especially during the holiday season. If you have a specific ceramic in mind we can special order it for a party or event with at least 1 month's notice. (Subject to availability, some items only available in sets)

The process for setting up a fundraiser is very similar to setting up a normal private event.
